Meet Lydia

The person behind Right Track Wellbeing

Lived experience. Professional learning. A genuine belief that understanding ourselves can change what happens next.

I Never Set Out to Work

in Wellbeing

For a long time, I was simply trying to understand myself.

I had spent years being capable, functioning, getting on with life and doing what needed to be done. From the outside, things could look absolutely fine.

But underneath that was a story I hadn't fully understood.

I am a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, and for years

I carried the impact of those experiences without always recognising how deeply they had shaped me.

The overwhelm. The need to keep going. The relationship I had with my body. The patterns I repeated. The ways

I protected myself without even realising that was what

I was doing. I knew what I did.

I didn't always understand why.

And eventually, I became determined to find out.

When Things Started to Make Sense

Learning about trauma and the nervous system gave me language for experiences I had struggled to explain.

Movement and exercise gave me another way to understand the relationship between my physical and mental wellbeing.

Education gave me context. And slowly, things I had spent years judging myself for began to look different.

Not excuses. Explanations.

That distinction mattered.

Because when I stopped looking at myself as something that needed to be "fixed" and became curious about what was actually happening, I could begin making different choices.

That experience still influences the way I work today.

From Lived Experience to Professional Practice

My lived experience is an important part of who I am, but it isn't the only thing I bring to Right Track Wellbeing.

What began as personal curiosity developed into years of learning, professional training and continued development

across mental wellbeing, movement, exercise, behaviour and trauma-informed practice.

Today, I bring those different areas together rather than treating physical and mental wellbeing as

completely separate conversations.

My work brings together:

  • Lived experience and the understanding that comes from having been on my own difficult journey

  • Mental Health & Exercise Coaching, connecting movement with mental wellbeing

  • Personal training and movement, helping people build strength and confidence in their bodies

  • Trauma-informed learning, recognising the influence our experiences can have on how we think, feel and respond

  • Practical wellbeing education, turning understanding into tools people can actually use

  • Speaking and facilitation, creating honest conversations in workplaces, communities and events

    And I continue to learn.

Because I don't believe any qualification means we have finished understanding people.

Then Came Riding the Trauma Train...

What began as my own search for understanding eventually

became a much bigger conversation.

I created Riding the Trauma Train because I wanted

somewhere people could talk honestly about the experiences

we often carry quietly.

The podcast has allowed me to sit across from people with completely different stories, alongside professionals and experts

who bring their own knowledge and perspectives.

Those conversations have taught me a lot.

But perhaps the biggest lesson has been this:

Our stories can be completely different and still leave us recognising something in one another.

That belief now runs through everything I do.

Why I Created Right Track Wellbeing

I didn't create Right Track Wellbeing because I believe I have all the answers.

I created it because I know how powerful it can be when we finally start asking the right questions.

I wanted to create the kind of space I would have valued during my own journey.

Somewhere professional, but human.

Somewhere we can talk about mental wellbeing and movement in the same conversation.

Somewhere lived experience is respected alongside education.

Somewhere practical tools matter just as much as understanding the theory behind them.

And somewhere you don't have to wait until everything feels impossible before you're allowed to ask for support.

That became Right Track Wellbeing.

And eventually, everything I had learned began coming together through The TRACK Method™.

I'm Still On My Journey Too

This is important to me.

I don't stand on the other side of wellbeing pretending I have

everything figured out.

I'm still learning. Still noticing things about myself. Still navigating

difficult days, changing circumstances, family life, work, movement, rest

and all the other messy parts of being human.

I don't believe we "complete" wellbeing.

We develop greater awareness. We learn what supports us. We recognise

when something has changed. And sometimes we need to find a different track.

That's why you'll never find perfection being sold here.

You'll find curiosity, practical support, honest conversations and encouragement

to discover what works for you.

You don't need to have a story like mine.

You don't need to identify with trauma. You don't need a diagnosis. And you certainly don't need to have everything figured out.

Maybe you want to feel stronger. Maybe life feels overwhelming. Maybe you've noticed patterns you want to understand. Maybe you're looking for

something for your workplace or community.
